This is the first time I have attempted to blog but I wanted to introduce everyone to Dominic and Sophie the young couple whose delightful courtship you will read about in my upcoming novel 'Dominic' that is due for release with Wings ePress in August 2007. It cannot be described as a conventional courtship but, nonetheless, it is one that I hope will capture your imagination. Dominic Blake, Earl of Vale, is a young man of privilege and breeding whose world is turned upside-down by Jack, a beautiful young girl in boy's clothing whom he finds sheltering on his doorstep after fleeing an attack by her brother.
As an author, I found this a very easy book to write as Dominic just strode onto the pages and took charge. In fact, the book almost wrote itself. I live in the UK but almost half of this story was written whilst we were on vacation in Florida. It was hurricane season, the trees outside our hotel window were horizontal, my husband snored and I wrote. I have just completed the final edits with my publisher and I am eagerly awaiting the publication date.
